Finally!

Daytime Emmys add court category!
"For a long time, people didn't really know what to do with courtshows," says Michael Rourke, who exec produces "Judge David Young" and "Judge Maria Lopez" for Sony Pictures TV. "It wasn't really a talkshow or a reality show or a soap opera," he says. "It had elements of all of those things. The genre was an orphan. It's great they're acknowledging it as its own category."
I know...poor things. Here they were selflessly trying to help people resolve their disputes without emptying their wallets, giving freely of their bountiful legal knowledge, 'accidentally' creating 'riveting' television...and unfairly not receiving any kind of meaningless award for it.

So, here's to you Judge Judy--finally getting your due, finally tasting the just desserts your forebears struggled for all those decades (Judge Wapner--you will not be forgotten!).

I mean, shit...what's next?

"Supreme Court judge nominated for Oscar!"

"McCain's Stolen Election Trial nominated for Best Picture!"
